How to Say I Love You

How to Say I Love You

The words "I love you" can lose their meaning in a relationship if not paired with action. Follow them up with actions of kindness. Although many people use this powerful phrase loosely, there are times when you want to say "I love you" in a meaningful way. Whether you're professing your love to a romantic partner or expressing it to a relative or friend, it can be difficult to convey how much they really mean to you. But by keeping the following suggestions in mind, hopefully your love will not only be understood, but it will also be welcomed and returned.

Here are some helpful ideas about how to say i love you:
If your sweetie reads the newspaper, or some magazine, get ahold of it before they get a chance to read it and open to a page they are likely to read (such as sport's or the funnies). On that page write in big letters: "I Love You (insert their name here)!".

When you're having a great time with the person you adore, stop for just a moment, look into their eyes, smile, and tell them "I love you."

When you see your love, wrap your arms around her and dip her, just like old time dancing. Hold on to her and give her a sensual kiss and tell her you love her.

When you and your girlfriend/wife are together in a social setting, for example: with friends or relatives when the conversations are all over the place, lean over to her ear (as close as possible) and whisper: "I Love You". Trust me she's going to think it's really hot both because it was completely unexpected and it's nice to know that you think about her in a situation where you're supposed to be focused on other people.

Have candles lit for your girlfriend or wife when she gets home, have them spell out "I love you" or whatever you want. I have done that for my girlfriend and she loved it.

Cut a heart or the words 'I love you' in the grass next time you mow the lawn. Take your wife up on the roof so she can see it from up high.

Each day when you come home from work, seek out your wife, give her a kiss and tell her that you love her.

Do the unexpected. Recently, I made the comment that I wanted to see the ocean before the end of summer. I came home one night and was asked to take a drive. We drove for two hours to the beach. We walked in the moonlight, watched the sunrise, had breakfast on the beach, then came home. All because I wanted to stick my toes in the ocean, and out of love for me, he wanted to make it special.

Tell her how much you love her, and why you love her (women aren't insecure, we just really LOVE compliments).

Buy a box of multi-colored, sidewalk chalk. Draw a BIG heart in red and write "I love you" in the middle. Make sure it's in a prominent place on the driveway so when your partner comes home he/she will see it.

Give her a bottle of vitamins with a note written outside: "Take a dose of my love once a day".

Get a bunch of those Post-it notes, that are sticky on one side. Write "I Love You" on about 100 of them (or as many as you want) and leave them where he will find them: when he comes home to an empty house, when you leave for work while he is still sleeping, etc.

Write "I love you" on the mirror with lipstick or soap. Or, sneak in the bathroom while they are in the shower and write it in the steam.

Make a code for 'I love you'. It could be a word or phrase, such as: "It's raining in australia". Or, it could be a guesture such as tapping your chin with a finger.
