How to Make Bread
"Bread". One of our major staples. How often do we take this wonderful food for granted. In the hectic modern world, most people get the bread from the grocery store or perhaps a bakery. It is not hard to make your own bread at home, however. A little time and patience, do it, along with some good instructions that we provide.
Making your own bread is a great fun and delicious smell and taste of freshly baked bread is worth doing. Follow these basic tips for successful baking bread.
Step 1: Leavening - In order to rise, bread needs a leavening agent, such as yeast. It is mixed with water and sugar and leave in a warm place to activate. It is ready when the mixture is frothing. Yeast mixture and then combine them with the flour and salt form a Dough(is a paste made out of any cereals/grains).
Step 2: Kneading - This ensures that the dough increased by lengthening the gluten strands and evenly distributing yeast. Use both hands simultaneously pressing, folding and turning action Until dough is smooth and elastic. Kneading may take from 5 to 20 minutes, depending on the recipe.
Step 3: Rising - Set the dough aside in a warm, draught-free place to rise for at least 30 minutes. The bread which we had no time to rise (or what has grown too quickly, because of the excessive amount of yeast) can be a rough texture. The dough is ready when it is at least one and a half times its original size.
Step 4: Punching - the dough should now be punched to remove air pockets that may arise. Simply make a fist and hit the center of dough.
Step 5: Proving - After forming the dough into rolls, rolls, focaccias or loaves, you should set it aside for a second growth (so-called "proving"). When she reached the size specified in the recipe, it is ready for baking.
Step 6: Baking - Preheat the oven to the temperature stated in the recipe. It has to be hot enough for the air bubbles in the dough to expand, which makes your bread rise. To test if your bread is cooked, tap it on the base – it’s ready when it sounds hollow.
Step 7: Cooling - Then after cooling, serve as you wish!
Remember: When the bread comes out of the oven, don't try and cut it immediately, you will likely crush the loaf, or at least tear up the soft inside. It will set in 30-60 minutes. A few clean dish towels draped over the top will keep it warmer, but make sure air can circulate, so the crust doesn't get soggy.
